Why play Tile Stack Blitz on Arcadity

  • Only exposed tiles are available, so uncovering the next useful layer matters.
  • Keeping spare tray slots protects you when a matching third tile is buried.
  • Quick set clears preserve momentum and create room for riskier picks.

How to play Tile Stack Blitz

  1. Click or tap a bright, exposed fruit tile to move it into the seven-slot tray. A tile covered by any overlapping tile on a higher layer cannot be picked yet.
  2. Collect three tiles of the same fruit. Matching picks group together in the tray automatically, and the third clears all three. You do not need to drag tiles into order.
  3. Plan the space needed to uncover your next match. At six occupied slots, a pick that completes a triple clears safely; a pick that leaves seven unmatched tiles ends the round.
  4. Use the Undo button, when available, before completing a set if you need to reverse your latest pick. Watch its remaining allowance and the match timer while you work toward clearing the whole stack.

Open tiles, tray space, and round endings

  • Open means uncovered from above. This game does not require a tile to have a free left or right edge, and tiles match in groups of three rather than pairs.
  • A tile leaves the board as soon as it is selected, so moving a covering tile into the tray can expose a useful tile below. That covering tile still occupies a tray slot until its own matching set clears.
  • The round ends when you clear the stack, fill all seven tray slots without a clearing triple, or run out of time. Undo is unavailable after the round has ended.
  • Built-in Easy, Normal, and Hard presets contain 72, 90, and 108 tiles, with 3, 1, and 0 Undo uses respectively. Their default clocks are 120, 120, and 150 seconds. A match or challenge can supply its own time limit; use the displayed timer for your current round.

How Tile Stack Blitz scores

Every cleared set of three adds 125 points. Picking a tile without completing a set adds no points. The combo counter does not multiply the value of a clear.

Clearing the whole stack adds a time bonus of 5 points per remaining second, with a partial second rounded up, plus 100 points for each unused Undo allowance. The result screen labels the latter Reset Bonus.

A full tray or timeout does not receive those completion bonuses. Undo restores the score state associated with the move it reverses, so treat it as a recovery tool rather than a way to collect points twice.

Worked example: make room before uncovering a match

This small 15-tile teaching fixture runs through the game's real matching and blocking rules. It is not a generated match board or an active event seed. Six legal picks have already placed A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2 in the tray, with no set cleared yet.

Letters stand for fruit kinds; numbers identify individual tiles. Match any three with the same letter. D1 overlaps A3 on the layer above it. The pictures show the board and tray after each step.

1. Read the six-slot tray

The tray holds A, A, B, B, C, C. B3 is exposed, while A3 is covered by D1. Taking D1 immediately would leave seven tiles with no triple and end the round, even though it uncovers A3.

Teaching fixture with tray A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2 occupying six of seven slots. D1 covers A3 and B3 is exposed. Score zero.
1. Read the six-slot tray

2. Clear B to make room for D

Select B3. The three B tiles clear automatically before the full-tray check, earning 125 points. The tray now holds A, A, C, C, leaving three free slots.

After selecting B3, all three B tiles have cleared. The tray contains A1, A2, C1, C2 in four slots, and the score is 125. A3 remains covered.
2. Clear B to make room for D

3. Remove the covering tile

Select D1. It moves into the tray without scoring, bringing occupancy to five. A3 is now exposed because its covering tile has left the board.

After selecting D1, the tray contains A1, A2, C1, C2, D1 in five slots. A3 is exposed and the score remains 125.
3. Remove the covering tile

4. Finish the A set

Select A3 to clear the three A tiles for another 125 points. The tray is reduced to C, C, D and the total is 250. The round continues with six tiles still on the board.

After selecting A3, the A triple has cleared. C1, C2, and D1 remain in the tray, six tiles remain on the board, and the score is 250.
4. Finish the A set

Tile Stack Blitz score strategy

  • Start by counting the pairs already in your tray. An exposed third tile usually gives more breathing room than starting another fruit kind.
  • Trace the full route to a buried third tile. Count every covering tile that must enter your tray first, then compare that number with your free slots.
  • When the tray has six tiles, look for an immediate triple. Revealing a useful tile does not help if the covering pick ends the round first.
  • Spend Undo while the round is still active if your latest unmatched pick closes off a better route. Saving an allowance can earn a completion bonus, but survival comes first.

Tile Stack Blitz FAQ

Why can I see a tile but not select it?

A higher tile can overlap and block it even when part of its face is visible. Remove every covering tile first. Only uncovered, active tiles can move to the tray.

Does using the seventh tray slot always end the round?

No. If the new pick completes three of a kind, those three clear before the game checks tray capacity. A seventh pick that does not clear a triple ends the round.

Do the matching tiles need to touch on the board?

No. Pick exposed tiles from anywhere in the stack. Matching fruit groups automatically in the tray, and three of the same kind clear together.

Does Undo restart the board?

No. When permitted, it returns a recent uncompleted pick to the board and uses one allowance. It does not rebuild a cleared triple, and it cannot rescue a round after the tray has filled.

What is the Reset Bonus?

It is the result-screen name for the full-clear bonus from unused Undo allowances: 100 points each. It is only awarded when the stack is cleared.
